Property Assessment Roll Open for Inspection Until April 15th.

If you would like to check or challenge the value assigned to your property in Muenster please note the deadline to do so is fast approaching.  The assessment roll is open for inspection and appeals are accepted  February 14, 2025  to April 15, 2025

These property values set by Sask Assessment Management Agency are used to apply municipal mill rates to which in turn determines how much TAX you pay to the Village of Muenster (and Horizon School Division).

The property roll is open to inspection by calling 306-682-2794, or visiting the office of the assessor from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the following days:  Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, February 14, 2025 to April 15, 2025.  During this open roll time you may critique your property valuation and also view other property values within Muenster for comparison.

If you disagree with your property valuation, a notice of appeal, accompanied by a $250.00 appeal fee must be filed with Kara Lindal, the Secretary of the Board of Revision of Western Municipal Consulting Ltd.,  via the email address: secretary@westernmunicipal.ca or by mail to Box 149, Meota, SK S0M 1X0 by the 15th  day of April, 2025.

Appeal fees will be returned if the appeal is successful.

Annual Budget Meeting of Village Council

The Annual Budget meeting of Village Council will take place Thurs April 24th at 6:30 pm at the Village Office.  It is open to the public.  Any public attending will not have any scheduled opportunities to speak during this meeting.  There may be periods where council goes into camera to discuss strategic planning or human resource issues and at that time the public will be asked to step out until the in camera session is completed.

This is the meeting where all the anticipated operational and capital expenses are considered for 2025.  These expenses, along with property values (which are pre-set by Sask Asset Management Agency) will contribute to how the Village Council will set your annual Mill Rate and any other Tax tools they see fit to determine 2025 property levies.

Annual Tax levies will be sent out to the public on June 1st annually.
